Fetter Health Care Network Offering OBGYN Services at Thaddeus J. Bell, MD Family Health Center in Summerville

Summerville, SC – Fetter Health Care Network’s OBGYN, Larry Wilson, MD, will be moving with his team to the organization’s Thaddeus J. Bell, MD Family Health Center location in Summerville this August. Dr. Wilson previously served patients at Fetter’s downtown Charleston location.

“I’m confident this move will greatly benefit Fetter Health Care Network’s patients,” said Dr. Wilson. “So many of our existing OB patients are close to Summerville and we look forward to providing the same quality care in a more convenient location.”

Dr. Wilson graduated from the University of Kentucky College of Medicine in 1989. He completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology in 1993 at the Medical University of South Carolina. Dr. Wilson became board certified by the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology in 1995 and has 25 years of private practice experience. He provides a full range of obstetrics and gynecological care.

“Our team at Fetter is excited about this transition,” said Aretha R. Jones, CEO of Fetter Health Care Network. “We are thankful to be able to further serve our OB patients with the help of Dr. Wilson and his phenomenal team.”

The Thaddeus J. Bell, MD Family Health Center in Summerville opened in 2018, named after the Fetter board member and prominent Charleston healthcare provider. This center includes many other services aside from OB care and features a full-service, on-site pharmacy. There is also a team on-site dedicated to case management and financial eligibility assistance. This center receives HHS funding and has Federal Public Health Service (PHS) deemed status with respect to certain health-related claims, including medical malpractice claims, for itself and its covered individuals. The Summerville location is also a recognized Patient-Centered Medical Home and offers translation services for patients who do not speak English.

Fetter patients can still receive general, pediatric and women’s health care at each of their permanent and seasonal locations. To schedule an appointment, call (843) 821-3444, come into the office or use MyFetterHome to schedule an appointment. If patients are unable to keep their appointments, it is encouraged that they call the center 24 hours in advance.
